World Water Month

March 22 is a special day. It’s World Water Day. Unsafe water is the number one public health problem in the world. According to the World Health Organization, 315,000 children under the age of five die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation. World Water Day is a day set aside to come together to focus our collective global attention on this issue.

We’d like to invite you to participate with us as we address the global issue of water scarcity. Join us in our efforts to provide packH2O water packs to the children and families of Puerto Rico. From March 1st – March 31st, purchase any travel pack, duffel or luggage on and you’ll be part of the solution.

Did you know?

One packH2O water pack provides safe water for a classroom of children (for an entire day) or serves the water needs of a household of five. These packs lessen the burden of carrying water miles to and from a water source, and are more effective than the current (easily contaminated) jerry cans & containers, used for this purpose.

The U.S. uses 346,000 million gallons of water a day, each resident contributing by using approximately 90 gallons/day.

Globally, 842,000 deaths a year are attributed to diseases caused by unsafe water and inadequate sanitation.

50% of all child malnutrition is attributed to unsafe water and inadequate sanitation

Universal access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation would reduce the global disease burden by 10%.

This isn’t our first Water Day rodeo! For that past two years, we have been working with packH2O, donating water packs for luggage purchases made on See below for the details on how you, our consumers, have played a vital role in this life-giving work. Thank you for your partnership.

Together, we donated 1,499 water packs to school children in Limuru, Kenya. This donation provided for 44,971 children who face common issues with water contamination and diseases spread from water sources. We also donated 385 water packs to the community of Puebla, Mexico, impacting 11,550 children with safe drinking water.

With your help, we donated 1,023 water packs to the Samburu and Turkana tribes of Kenya. This impacted 5,115 family members with clean drinking water through the year. Additionally, we purchased two heavy-duty sewing machines, bringing pack manufacture, jobs, and ownership of their community welfare to the country.
