Safety Tips for Traveling Abroad
Eagle Creek Travel Expert, Jessica Dodson, shares her thoughts on how to say safe while traveling. Whether abroad or domestically, she’s got some quick tips to keep you and your stuff safe, while still having the time of your life.
Jessica has been all over the globe, from Kenya to Russia to Mexico and Jordan. And though safety is never guaranteed, she’s learned a bit along the way. Addressing everything from planning a trip, to locking your bags, here are a few quick things to think through as you’re planning your trip and gallivanting the globe.
- Where's your money? Depending on where you’re at (and if you feel like pick-pocketing might be an issue) consider a Money Belt or Neck Wallet.
- Lose your Passport? It is a nightmare, but if you’ve got a copy of your Passport and the address to the nearest embassy, your process for getting home will be much easier.
- Choose the right travel gear. Is it lockable? Whether a backpack or piece of luggage, there are options out there. Pick something that’s lockable so you’ve got the option.
