Product Spotlight: Global Companion Travel

The Eagle Creek Global Companion Travel Pack is chock full of ways to make your trip even better. Get to know some of the features of this brand new travel pack.

Starting off the new year right, Eagle Creek just launched the Global Companion Travel Pack. This latest bag comes in two different sizes, and both are full of ways to make your trip even better. Get to know more about the features and materials that make these bags unique, and learn how to pick a size that’s right for you and your trip.

Carry It Comfortably

How a bag fits is so important when it comes to your travel comfort, and bag fit was one of the top factors that Eagle Creek considered when designing the Global Companion Pack. The bag’s hip belt and waist belt work with backpack straps and load lifter straps to bring the pack closer to your center of gravity, which means better weight distribution (your back will thank you!). Also adding to the comfort is an integrated air mesh back panel that’s padded and moisture wicking, plus a built-in air channel to keep the sweat off your back.

Keep Your Items Secure (and Dry!)

While moisture-wicking technology is busy keeping you dry, the Global Companion Travel Pack is busy keeping your items dry—and safe. Made with easily wipe-able and water-resistant Bi-Tech material, this pack’s rain fly offers an added level of protection. The Travel Pack also has a padded laptop sleeve on the part of the bag that fits against your back, keeping one of your most valuable items stable on the journey. Lockable zippers ensure that nobody will tamper with the inside of your bag while you’re away from it, and—in case you find yourself in a dangerous situation—there’s a safety whistle attached to one of your backpack straps.

Pack It Like a Suitcase

With the Global Companion Travel Pack, you have two separate mesh packing compartments in which to pack your items, seamlessly combining the organization feature we love in suitcases with the hands-free feature we love in our backpacks. There’s plenty of space inside, and you can smartly utilize it and stay organized with the Eagle Creek Pack-It System.

Enjoy the Convenience

One of the greatest aspects of traveling with a backpack is the hands-free convenience of it all. With an extra hand (or two), you can easily access your phone or snacks from the extra pocket located on the hip belt that wraps around your waist. The front of the bag is packed with quick access pockets for pens, a battery charger, or whatever else you need to grab on the fly. This Global Companion Travel Pack has multiple access points, with the most convenient right up top, so you can reach right in and grab your laptop or toiletries without havin to go through everything inside.

So, Which Do Do You Buy?

It really depends on how much space you want. The 40L is carry-on size and easily fits above your airplane seat and in tighter spots. While you can’t carry the 65L onto a plane, its rain fly comes with a little extra material to turn the bag into a check-in duffle. The 65L has a few more access points inside and outside, making it ideal for travelers who need a little more space.

Great Bags No Matter What

Whether you go for the 40L or 65L Global Companion Travel Pack, your bag is going to be covered by Eagle Creek’s No Matter What Warranty. While we make each bag with all of the finest materials keeping the toughest travelers in mind, if anything happens, we’ve got your back.

So, which bag are you going to pick up before your next journey? Is there something about the 40L or 65L that convinced you to go in a particular direction? Share your thoughts on this amazing new bag in the comments section.
