Travel Industry's Electrical Converter And Adapter

For the first time in years, the travel goods industry's "electricals" category has received a facelift.

Travel gear innovator Eagle Creek has overhauled the converter and adapter category for spring 2005 with upgrades to its collection of 18 travel electrical accessories for international travel. In addition to performance, durability, quality and cosmetic upgrades, Eagle Creek is backing its enhanced electrical accessories offering with new print and interactive Web-based consumer education tools.

Additionally, Eagle Creek has created unique product packaging that enables consumers to select the appropriate electrical accessories. In addition, Eagle Creek has introduced an informative consumer brochure that helps travelers better understand their international travel electrical needs. Display fixtures at retail stores nationwide feature an integrated pull-down chart to help consumers quickly identify the converters needed for their specific appliances and accessories, as well as adapter plug recommendations based on their intended travel destination.

Eagle Creek will complement its consumer brochure and retail display tools with the March 31, 2005, launch of an interactive Web version of the printed user guides. The online tool includes intuitive product selection guides (based on voltage requirements of specific appliances and on destination countries) that will help consumers zero in on the specific converter and adapters required to meet their travel needs.

Eagle Creek is a maker of adventure travel gear, luggage, travel accessories and packing solutions for active, adventurous souls. Founded in 1975, California-based Eagle Creek, Inc., invented the adventure travel gear category, introduced the industry's first convertible backpack on wheels, and is revolutionizing the way travelers pack with its Pack-It™ folders, cubes, sacs and toiletry kit organizing system.
