Meeting the demand for the best gear organization and multi-activity travel, Eagle Creek, maker of innovative travel gear, introduces the new and redesigned ORV gear bags and trunks for Spring 2008. Adding to the new Exploration System Collection (ES2), The ORV series is among the most innovative and technical travel gear on the market.
The ORV trunks and gear bags are feature rich and designed for organization of bulky, oversized gear and clothing; ideal for outdoor enthusiast and those traveling with a lot of gear. These pieces include features like zip-up padded panel dividers, a Pole Vault and wipable Bi-Tech™ compartments, including a stowable Boot Box. The Boot Box is made of reversed coated water resistant zippers, a laminated interior and taped seams for complete water resistance. The gear bags and trunks integrate seamlessly with Pack-It™ Gear Organizers and suggested solutions are included.
As with all new ES2 wheeled pieces, the ORV trunks feature the Touch Point™ Handle System, with an ergonomic soft grip handle and adjustable height capability, and the ES2 Wheel System; wheel housing, kick plate and foot engineered for added structure, additional superior protection and reduced carrying weight. A new grab handle feature is incorporated into the protective foot for ease when putting the bag in an overhead bin or car trunk.
The ES2 oversized super-tread wheels are ultra durable and designed for a smooth ride over rough terrain. Four-Point Luggage Protection protects the ORV's at all critical wear points, includes a front bumper guard and Eagle Creek's unique Sole Patch corner guards. The Exploration System Collection is backed by an industry exclusive, No Matter What™ guarantee.
The ES2 pieces are designed with fabrics of varying weights to dial up toughness while dialing down carrying weight. The ORV's features Eagle Creek's exclusive Helix™ fabrics with strategic material blocking for increased durability. In abrasion testing, Eagle Creek's Helix™ fabrics proved to be lighter with durability equal to or better than Cordura™ fabric of the same denier.
A highlight to the series is the Take 2 ORV Trunk 28, a unique 2-in-1 solution designed to separate dirty gear from clothing. A full-featured gear bag is attached to a water and dirt resistant gear bin for two separate organizational solutions: one for clothing, one for gear. The gear bin, lined with Eagle Creek's exclusive Bi-Tech™ material, can be easily wiped or hosed out. Separate the two bags to quickly reduce baggage weight and size; ideal for check-in at the airline ticket counter.
The ORV Trunks 25, 30 and 35 are oversized and organized for longer, sports-specific, or family travel. Each bag includes a stowable Boot Box to separate dirty boots or gear. For the fly fisherman, photographer or tele-skier the ORV Super Trunk 36 includes a collapsible Pole Vault divider to store and transport longer gear.
A new version of the ever-popular ORV Gear Bag was added, featuring a fully lined Bi-Tech™ drop bottom compartment for dirty or damp gear. The Double Down ORV Gear Bag featured compartment is great for ski poles, snorkel gear, or fly-fishing equipment.
With its simple design, technical features and light weight, the ORV Gear Bag continues to be a best seller. The redesigned ORV Gear Bag offers more external organization for easier access to grab-and-go items. Both gear bags feature collapsible padded dividers for interior customization and hideaway backpack straps, a padded shoulder strap, end-to-end and center grab handles. They integrate perfectly with Pack-It™ Gear Organizers and suggested Pack-It™ solutions are included.
