This is by far my all time favourite clock. Particularly the large easy to read numerals which don't require that I put my glasses on in the night to see what time it is. And the overall design is handsome and superb.
But there is one nasty little glitch: I've owned this clock for about 5 years now and I've had to take it back to the retailer four times to exchange it for another and the retailer (Jet-Setter, 66 Laurier W., Montreal, Quebec H2T 2N4 Phone : 514-271-5058) has been tremendously patient and never once gave me any reason for grief.
After the third time, Jetsetter very understandably asked if I might prefer to choose another brand but I remained steadfast in my attachment to the Easy View Travel Clock and my confidence that sooner or later Eagle Creek would rectify the problem.
What is the problem, I'm sure you want to know? It's always the same. After about 9-12 months, for no apparent reason, when I push the SNOOZE key, it triggers the Reset and thereafter intermittently, approximately one out of every 5-10 times, it does a reset which is annoying in that, as you know, it takes time to recalibrate everything.
Now obviously it's a small glitch. Nothing's perfect but Eagle Creek is one place that strives to come as near as possible. So here's the thing. Either I am the only customer on the planet who has purchased an Easy View Travel Clock and experienced this problem so that the folks at Eagle Creek when they recieve the various clocks I've returned over the past four years have decided that I'm the glitch not the clock (and, admittedly I do have quite a few glitches!) or for some inexplicable reason they have been unable to correct this problem. I'm sending this note to you because I am about to return my clock for the fifth time.
It's frustrating but being a Taurus, I'm determined. I REALLY LIKE THIS CLOCK so I'm convinced that sooner (hopefully not later) you will find a way to correct this problem and I'll be able to keep the same clock for the rest of my life. I know that the good people at Jetsetter (and they are good!) will communicate the same problem to you when they return my clock but I thought this time I'd send my own version ahead of time.
Please let me know how it goes. I'm an Eagle Creek fan and will be the first to sing praises when you manage to conquer this nasty little glitch (the clock, not me!)
Yours truly,
Dwight Smith
